What is Serprise?
Serprise is a first of its kind collection of 6,900 generative gifs celebrating April Fools. Each NFT is a unique combination of animated art unfolding over a fresh storyline which suddenly turns into a jump scare.
We are changing the game in 3 major ways. Serprise is the first NFT collection to:
1. Allow you to celebrate April Fools’ Day by owning a digital prank
2. Create stories by chronologically and randomly layering gifs
3. Incorporate a jump scare to serprise the viewer
About
Growing up as brothers and best friends, we messed with one another every day. But throughout the years, we have always looked forward to one day – April Fools – as our favorite, most outrageous day of the year.
Serprise is our way of bringing humor and excitement to the internet by innovating on conventional NFT art collections and by allowing individuals to actually OWN the memes that make them laugh.
Our innovative NFT collection is inspired by the golden days of the internet: when memes lived on image sharing websites, and so did we; when the funniest content would rise to the top based on upvotes and downvotes; and when we pranked our friends with online games & videos in which a scary girl or monster would suddenly pop up.
We are kicking off the next evolution of internet memes: ones that you can own, trade, and come back to for a laugh. Serprise is the first NFT project based around April Fools, and markedly so, by pioneering randomly generated unique storyline gifs, as well as the first NFTs which unfold in an unexpected and serprising way. We hope you enjoy these gifs and use them to celebrate April Fools' and every day to follow :)

A psychologist may say "a meme is a humorous image, gif, video, etc., that is copied (often with slight variations) and spread rapidly by internet users.” A teenager might say "memes are my life." We think both answers are right. Memes are internet nuggets of humor which unite people from around the world in laughter and joy.
NFT stands for “non-fungible token” – a unique digital item that anyone has the power to buy, own, and trade. NFTs exist on blockchains (in this case, the Ethereum blockchain) – decentralized, global networks of computers working together to provide an open, equitable system for people to communicate, work, and play. Your ownership of a Serprise NFT is recorded on the Ethereum blockchain, meaning your wallet address is the verified sole owner of that file. NFTs have a wide range of use cases, and we believe they will become foundational to the modern world moving forward. Our NFT collection here is an art and community-focused project meant to unite people across the world in lighthearted humor – after a moment of terror!
Metamask is a cryptocurrency wallet that exists on the Ethereum blockchain. Each crypto wallet has a unique Ethereum address which enables it to securely transact and hold cryptocurrencies and NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain. A MetaMask wallet is needed to mint and store a Serprise NFT. Learn more about Metamask and how easy it is to use here.
Your Serprise NFT will appear in whichever Ethereum address (connected wallet) you used to purchase the NFT. You can view your collection of NFTs by connecting your wallet to OpenSea.
Our gifs consist of 4 chronological layers: intro, storyline, scare, Happy April Fools’ message. The viewer watches an animated storyline unfold until, suddenly, a scary face flashes, followed by a Happy April Fools message. With these gifs, we’re bringing back the golden days of the internet, when people would randomly stumble onto videos or games that seem innocent until something pops out and scares them. We have multiple versions of each chronological layer and are randomly combining them to make 6,900 NFT gifs which each unfold in a unique way.
